Customers can dispute an error on their credit reports with Experian through the Customer Assistance page, according to Experian. The site provides a form that customers can fill out to provide information about what they are disputing.
Anyone can dispute any piece of information on their credit reports with one of the three national credit reporting agencies. They do need to provide proof that the disputed item is false, such as documents showing the date a credit card was originally opened, as stated by Credit Karma.
Customers can find the dispute form for Experian by visit its website and clicking on the Customer Assistance tab at the top of the page. Click on the Disputes button on the next page to go to the online form for disputing an item.
