As of 2015, check the status of a Discover credit card application by visiting the Discover home page and navigating to the Application Status link under the Credit Cards category, states Discover. Enter your social security number and ZIP code and the site returns information about the status of your application.
The Discover website also supplies a phone number to speak directly to a representative to check on the status of a credit card application. That number is 1-800-756-4336, according to Discover.
In addition to the Discover credit cards, Discover offers the Discover network, a secure-payment company that provides financial institutions the ability to offer credit cards and other financial products featuring the Discover logo, explains the Discover website. To check the status of a Discover Network card that you applied for from one of these institutions, contact the issuer directly. The issuing institution also services the card, so contact it instead of Discover for all customer-service issues and billing questions, or to inquire about your credit line or report a lost or stolen card. The contact number is located on the back of your card.
Discover offers a variety of credit cards, all with no annual fee and zero-percent APR for the first 12 months. The Discover credit card also offers enhanced security features, credit-score tracking and, in most cases, cash-back rewards.
