As of 2014, Mio cards are being upgraded to MyVanilla prepaid debit cards. Both cards are prepaid cards that allow users to spend the money in the account up to a certain maximum per day, and both are refillable at stores such as Walmart, 7-Eleven and CVS Pharmacy. Checking the balance on a Mio or MyVanilla card can be done by phone or online.
- Set up a MyVanilla online account
If you are a Mio cardholder whose card is transitioning over to MyVanilla, set up a new online account at MyVanillaDebitCard.com. Any card balance left on the Mio card is automatically transferred to the MyVanilla account.
- Log in to your MyVanilla account
Once you have logged in to your MyVanilla account, you can click on the appropriate button to check your balance. Other services available include reviewing transactions and printing monthly statements.
- Call customer service
If you are unable to access your account online, call MyVanilla customer service at 855-686-9513. An automated service allows you to enter your card number and check your balance.
