The chart shows the maximum income allowable to claim the credit with zero, one, two, or three or more children for taxpayers filing as individuals or jointly, notes the IRS. The maximum income allowable to claim the EITC for 2014 is $52,247, for a married couple filing jointly with three or more children. The highest EITC possible for tax year 2014 is $6,143.
