Form 1040EZ, along with other helpful publications, may also be available at local libraries and post offices during tax season. Alternatively, forms can be received by mail by calling 1-800-TAX-FORM or 1-800-829-3676. Hours are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., local time. For the purpose of ordering forms, Alaska and Hawaii are considered to be on Pacific time. Forms and publications for both the current and prior year can be ordered.

Taxpayers can also get Form 1040EZ from their local Taxpayer Assistance Center. Local assistance centers are found on the IRS website by clicking on Contact Your Local IRS Office on the homepage. From the Contact Your Local IRS Office page, clicking on the Office Locator link takes taxpayers to a page where they can enter their ZIP codes to find local offices. In addition to providing forms, assistance centers can help with questions that taxpayers feel cannot be handled online or over the phone, although identification may be required to take advantage of this service. Tax preparation services are not available.
