FirstEnergy allows customers to pay their bills using a credit card or with a direct withdrawal from a checking or savings account. Payments can be made by phone, in person or by mail.
In order to take advantage of the automatic payment withdrawals using a bank account or credit card, customers must enroll in paperless billing. Customers in New Jersey, Maryland, West Virgina and Ohio have the option of working out an installment plan when they cannot pay their bills on time.
No matter how customers pay, they can make the process as painless as possible by using an automated phone system to pay their bill. They can pay in person at an authorized payment location, or they even pay by mail if they prefer to pay using a check or money order.
