The AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard and CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard offer a 30,000-mile bonus when customers spend $1,000 within three months of opening their account, while AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard users receive a 75,000-mile bonus if they spend $7,500 in that same period of time, as of July 2015, American Airlines states. Other benefits include no charge for the first checked bag on American Airlines and US Airways flights, priority boarding privileges and discounts on in-flight purchases.
Other benefits vary among the cards, according to American Airlines.
