The Choice Privileges Visa Signature card offers two points for each dollar a cardholder spends on his card. This card has no annual fee, according to Barclays, and when a cardholder makes a purchase at a Choice Privileges location, he earns 15 points for each dollar spent. A cardholder earns five points per dollar spent on Choice Hotels gift cards.
Choice Privileges Visa cardholders are eligible for automatic elite gold status, explains Choice Hotels. With elite status, a cardholder can book free nights up to 50 days in advance. Cardholders also earn a 10 percent point bonus for stays purchased with Choice Hotels as well as an exclusive reservations contact line.
A cardholder receives 8,000 bonus points after his first purchase or balance transfer, and he receives 24,000 bonus points for his first purchase of a hotel stay, notes Barclays. These bonus points total 32,000, which is enough for a cardholder to stay four nights free of charge at select Choice Privileges locations.
As of 2015, the annual percentage rate on the Choice Privileges Visa Signature card is either 15.24 percent, 19.99 percent or 24.99 percent, depending on an applicant's creditworthiness. Cardholders may avoid interest by paying the card balance in full each month by the due date, reports Barclays. If interest is charged, there is a minimum charge of $0.50.
