There is an online tool at the CareCredit website to find a doctor specializing in cosmetic, dental, dermatology, hearing or vision who offers the credit card program, explains CareCredit. The search results can be sorted by distance from a given location or marked on a map. Some list entries provide links to providers' websites.
Promotional special financing terms of six, 12, 18 and 24 months are available as of July 2015, although not all providers offer all promotions, according to CareCredit. For some providers, the search result entry shows the promotions offered. If the consumer pays the amount in full within the chosen term, he pays no interest for the loan; however, if he fails to pay within the term, he pays interest at a predetermined rate from the purchase date.
There is also an option of repaying in equal fixed monthly payments over 24, 36 or 48 months with a minimum purchase amount of $1,000, with another option over 60 months for a minimum of $2,500. These options carry interest at the annual percent rate of 14.9 percent, notes CareCredit. The payment calculator at the website presents different options available for a given purchase amount.Learn more about Credit & Lending
