Enterprise Rent-A-Car offers personal accident insurance, supplemental liability protection and damage waivers, according to the company's official website. Only Enterprise airport locations offer personal effects coverage. Roadside assistance protection is also available at some locations.
Personal accident insurance provides accidental death benefits and ambulance expense benefits, and it pays for accident medical expenses for the vehicle renter and the renter's passengers, explains Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The personal effects coverage insures the personal effects of the driver, additional drivers and immediate family members riding with the renter at the time of the accident.
Supplemental liability protection provides coverage of up to a combined $1 million for third-party liability claims against the renter and authorized drivers, advises Enterprise Rent-A-Car. A damage waiver is not insurance, but it does reduce or eliminate the renter's responsibility for damage to or loss of a rental vehicle. Supplemental liability insurance and damage waivers are optional and subject to exclusions, terms, limitations and conditions.
Roadside assistance protection covers the cost of certain vehicle incidents, including lockouts, fuel outages and lost keys, notes Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Roadside assistance is available at the time of booking or at any time during the rental term. When protection is added during an active rental, the renter must take the vehicle to a designated Enterprise branch for inspection beforehand.
