Savings accounts require a minimum opening deposit and balance of $5, and they may be used as an overdraft protection source for checking accounts.
Members 1st Federal Credit Union offers three different types of club accounts: holiday, vacation and youth. Holiday Club accounts require no minimum deposit, and the funds in the account transfer to the member's regular savings account automatically on Oct. 1 of each year. Vacation Club accounts also require no minimum deposit or balance, and the funds in the account transfer to the member's regular savings account automatically on April 1 each year. Youth Club accounts require a $5 minimum deposit to open the account.
