CAMBA’s housing program serves those who are chronically homeless, suffering from serious mental illness, struggling with chemical dependency, or living with HIV/AIDS, explains the organization. The program provides emergency shelter, homelessness prevention services, and transitional housing for those preparing to live independently. Permanent supportive housing is also provided through CAMBA Housing Ventures and partner developers.

CAMBA Housing Ventures states that its buildings are sustainable and energy efficient. The organization serves clients through a combination of safe, affordable housing and continuing case management. Whereas CHV had originally set a goal of creating 1,000 affordable housing units by 2015, the CHV website states that by 2015 it had 1,536 such units completed or in the pre-development or construction phase. In addition to the CHV units, a number of partner buildings are included in the network of sites where residents receive CAMBA’s long-term supportive services.

CAMBA also offers youth and education programs and services to deal with legal problems, domestic violence, language barriers, lack of job skills, and problems arising from chronic illness and addiction, states Camba. Locations for all CAMBA service programs are listed in the Contact section of Camba.org.
