To register for a Bluebird debit card online, visit Bluebird.com and click the Register button at the top of the page. This launches the registration form, which includes a series of questions to establish your identity and enable access to online account management tools. In addition to your name, address and phone number you need to include an email address for validating the account and your Social Security number so that American Express can run a credit check. Finally, choose a personal identification number and security question for the account and submit the application.
Participating Wal-Mart locations also feature forms, and in some cases service centers, that allow for on-site applications. However, not every Wal-Mart location supports these features. If you applied for a Bluebird debit card in a Wal-Mart store and received a temporary debit card, the site includes tools for transferring the balance from that card onto a permanent, personalized card. Once the account is active, log in to confirm your information and check any existing balance.Learn more about Personal Banking
