Applying for airport security jobs is simple and it involves going to the USAJOBS website, doing a search for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and then applying for any of the available positions presented by the search. The TSA is in charge of the security of the traveling public in the United States, states its website.
The 107th Congress passed the Aviation and Transportation Act in November 2001, which also established the TSA. The TSA completed mandates in the Act that includes assuming the civil aviation security functions from the Federal Aviation Administration and the hiring, training and deployment of security officers for the commercial airports in the U.S. and its territories.
