Activate a Fred's Smartcard by creating an account on the Fred's Super Dollar website or logging into an existing account. Enter the information from the Smartcard when prompted. If the website is unavailable, call Fred's toll-free customer service line or speak to a customer service representative in a Fred's Super Dollar store to activate a Smartcard.
Fred's Smartcard holders earn points on most purchases of Fred's branded products. The card does not provide discounts on items and enrolling in the program is free. Customers do not earn points on other brands of products, even when purchased from a Fred's store. Qualifying purchases earn 20 points per dollar spent on Fred's products.
Points are converted into Fred's Smartbucks on a quarterly basis. Smartbucks can be redeemed as store credit at the register. The Smartcard must be presented at checkout to spend Smartbucks. Multiple household members are permitted to use the same account, and Fred's encourages families to share accounts so their rewards accrue faster.
While the card itself does not give customers any discounts, customers can load electronic coupons to the card. These coupons work like paper coupons and are applied to a purchase when the customer uses the Smartcard at checkout.
