As of 2015, the AchieveCard rewards program lets account holders use their AchievePoints to participate in auctions and sweepstakes, AchieveCard states. The company auctions a wide range of items, such as a George Foreman panini grill, Icon Q Kicks headphones and Sony Bluetooth boombox.
Auctions frequently involve popular electronics, store gift cards, restaurant gift cards, cooking appliances and grooming accessories, according to AchieveCard. The website typically lists each item with its date of availability several days before the auction starts, and depending on the popularity of the product, the highest bids may require thousands of points. Players regain their points if they don’t win the auction.
Sweepstakes are announced periodically and require fewer points to participate, but those points aren’t refunded, regardless of the outcome, AchieveCard explains. The website publishes a list of the 50 most recent auction and sweepstakes winners with the final bid amounts, giving potential participants an accurate idea of how many points they need to compete.
Cardholders earn three AchievePoints for every dollar spent on credit purchases requiring a signature and one point per dollar for debit purchases requiring a PIN number, according to AchieveCard. They also earn points by liking or sharing auction and sweepstakes items on Facebook. AchieveCard offers additional monthly bonuses between 1,000 and 10,000 points for keeping an account in good standing, loading $1,000 or making 30 purchases.
