Sign up for a membership to get access to Consumer Reports. As of 2015, there are two membership options, a yearly digital subscription for $30 per year, or $6.95 per month.
Members of Consumer Reports gain unlimited access to the digital version of Consumer Reports and the mobile device applications. Upon subscribing, users receive access to all articles, blogs, videos and slide shows. This information is available on the website, the mobile site and on the mobile application. A membership also gives access to reviews, ratings, expert buying guides, product comparisons and user reviews. In addition, there are thousands of video clips on products such as appliances, electronics, cars, food and baby products.
All of the subscriptions for digital access to Consumer Reports renews automatically. This means that access to the site is available until cancellation, but the yearly or monthly rate comes off of the credit card or bank account used for payment. Monthly subscribers do not get a reminder of account renewal, but annual subscribers receive an email about 30 days before the account renews.
In addition to the digital service offered by Consumer Reports, there is also a magazine. Keep in mind that subscribers to the magazine do not get free access to the Consumer Reports website or application. However, magazine subscribers are eligible for a discounted rate for online access.
