To wash your hair with baking soda, make a paste using baking soda and water, wet your hair thoroughly, part it into four sections and rub the paste into your scalp as you apply it to the sections. Let it sit in your hair for several minutes, and then rinse it out.
- Create the baking soda paste
Combine 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 3 to 4 cups of warm water into a plastic bottle and shake thoroughly. Allow the baking soda to fully dissolve, creating a paste.
- Part your hair into sections
Thoroughly wet your hair, and part it down the middle. Part two sections on each side by separating the top and bottom sections of the hair, creating four sections of hair.
- Apply the baking soda paste to your scalp
Apply the paste to each section of your hair, massaging the paste into your scalp as you go.
- Let the paste sit, and then rinse
Allow the paste to sit in your hair for three to five minutes, and then rinse it out. Use the paste after regular shampooing, or in place of it. Finish by rinsing off with apple cider vinegar to close the hair shaft or use your regular conditioner.
