To use sugar wax, warm the product, apply the wax with a wooden spatula, smooth a muslin strip on top of the wax, and pull off the strip. Before waxing, cleanse the skin thoroughly, and apply a thin layer or baby powder.
- Prepare the skin
Take a shower, and wash the body. Dry off the skin, and apply a layer of cornstarch or baby powder, which helps to prevent the wax from sticking to the skin.
- Warm the sugar wax
Heat the wax in a microwave or on the stove. Then, let it cool before applying it to the skin.
- Spread on the wax
Scoop the sugar wax onto the wooden spatula, and spread it along the area in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Work in sections that are slightly smaller than the size of your muslin strips.
- Apply the fabric strips
On top of the sugar wax, apply a muslin or denim strip in the same direction as the hair growth. With the palm of your hand, smooth the surface of the fabric.
- Remove the hair
Grab onto the bottom of the fabric strip, and pull in the opposite direction of the hair growth. If needed, remove any remaining hairs with tweezers. Wash the skin with soap and water to remove any excess sugar wax.
