What Is Under Armour?

Under Armour is an American sportswear company founded in 1996. Its earliest and most well-known products are moisture-wicking microfiber T-shirts and other undergarments that keep athletes cool and dry while exercising.

Under Armour also manufactures and sells athletic shoes, socks and bags as well as athletic garments for men, women and children. In 2013, the company released a new line of performance wear designed to disseminate and recirculate heat while minimizing odor. A shirt launched in 2014 is designed to reflect heat so that athletes can stay cool in the sun. Under Armour sponsors various club and sporting teams worldwide in addition to a variety of American athletes.
