To do a twist-out hairstyle, wash and condition the hair, and then untangle it. Divide the hair into large sections, and twist the hair into two-strand twists. Allow the twists to air-dry completely, and then unravel the twists to create the twist-out style.
- Wash and condition the hair
Wash the hair using a moisturizing shampoo. Apply a generous amount of moisturizing leave-in conditioner.
- Untangle the hair
Use the leave-in conditioner and a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to untangle the hair.
- Divide the hair into sections
Use the wide-toothed comb to divide the hair into six large sections, and then braid or twist each section.
- Divide the hair again, and create two-strand twists
Unravel one section of hair, and divide it into smaller sections depending on the desired size of the twists. To create two-strand twists, twist two strands of hair around each other from the roots to the tips. Repeat with the other sections of hair until two-strand twists cover your entire head.
- Air-dry the twists
Allow the two-strand twists to air-dry completely.
- Unravel the twists
Unravel the twists once they have dried to create the twist-out look. Shake your head and fluff your hair to accentuate the twists.
