Do not squeeze a pimple on the lip line. Instead, wash the pimple daily with a warm, wet washcloth and a medicated mouthwash, and brush your lips whenever you brush your teeth. Make sure to wipe your mouth well after each drink or meal, and drink a lot of water every day.
- Make sure not to puncture the pimple
Take every care not to squeeze or pop the pimple. Doing so causes bacteria from the pimple to spread and may even leave a scar on your lip line.
- Wash your lips regularly
Wet a clean washcloth in warm water. Use that along with a medicated mouthwash to wash your lips. Avoid using soap or facial cleansers with strong chemicals. Remember to brush your lips as well every time you brush your teeth.
- Use a cold compress
Press a cold compress to the pimple daily. This serves to reduce swelling in the affected area and reduces the visibility of the pimple.
- Adapt better lip hygiene
Wipe your lips thoroughly after drinking or eating. Food residue is one of the main causes of pimples, and wiping prevents any residue from remaining on the lips unnoticed.
Drink a lot of water daily.
- Prevent chemicals from touching your lips
Avoid chemical-rich makeup. Stop using lip balm for a few days, especially if it contains allergens.
