In order to make the Windsor knot, start with the wide end on your right side and the small end slightly above your navel on your left side. Then, bring the wide end over the small end to your left side. Bring the wide end up through the neck loop from underneath and back down to the left. Move the wide end behind the small end and to your right side. Then, bring the wide end into the neck loop from above it and back down to the right side.
Bring the wide end across the front of the knot, to the left, and up through the neck loop. After this motion, a loop is formed in front of the knot. Bring the wide end down through this loop and pull the wide end to tighten according to your preferences.
The half-Windsor knot is very similar to the Windsor knot. The only difference in the process for making it is that you have to skip one step in the beginning. Instead of bringing the wide end through the neck loop from underneath the first time, you just go straight to the step where you move the wide end behind the small end. The half-Windsor knot has less symmetry and a smaller knot size than the Windsor knot.Learn more about Accessories
