Easy Homemade Herbal Perfume
Homemade perfume is very easy to make. This recipe was originally published on One Green Planet and takes minutes to blend.
- 1 oz carrier oil
- 1 oz distilled water
- 12-15 drops of essential oils
- Blend the ingredients
- Add the mixture to a bottle
Blend the carrier oil, water and essential oils together by adding them to a small container and shaking it. Appropriate carrier oils include jojoba oil and almond oil. Essential oils include options such as floral oils, vanilla, cardamom, clove, lemon, orange, bergamot, lime, herbal oils, sandalwood or cedar.
Add the perfume to a small roller bottle for easy application.
Solid perfume is also very easy to make. To make a batch of DIY solid perfume, use the following steps.
- Cook the oil and beeswax
- Add essential oils
- Add the perfume to containers
Add equal parts of carrier oil and beeswax to a pot. Turn on the heat and allow the wax to melt, then remove the pot from the heat. Appropriate oils include olive oil, almond oil and coconut oil.
Add up to 15 drops of essential oil. Stir the oil into the wax and oil mixture.
Pour the perfume into small containers, such as old makeup containers or old mint tins. Let the perfume sit for at least half an hour to set.
