Hot water can dry the skin and strip it of necessary oils. Shower for 10 minutes or less in lukewarm water to protect the skin.
Traditional soaps can irritate the skin, so opt for a non-soap hydrating cleanser. Thoroughly wash underarms, under the breasts, and between the legs. Gently scrub or rinse the rest of the body.
Pat your skin dry with a clean towel, then apply moisturizing lotion to keep the skin hydrated.
