Applying makeup as a teen is a simple task, and it starts with getting the skin cleaned and in the best condition possible. After that, applying subtle forms of makeup, such as lip gloss and a bit of mascara, often works perfectly for teens; in other cases, a few steps additional should be followed.
After thoroughly cleansing the skin, apply a bit of sunscreen to protect the skin. Next, apply concealer in the areas where it is needed, such as under the eyes, in the hollow sockets on the inside of the eye, on the chin and along the nose.
Next, apply foundation to help correct an uneven skin tone. If full-coverage foundation is not needed, a tinted moisturizer is an excellent alternative.
The next step is applying color. Remember to add everything lightly. Apply blush to the apples of the cheek and eyeliner to the lids, shade the eyes with eyeshadow, curl the lashes with an eyelash curler and apply mascara by wiggling the wand from the roots of the lashes on through to the ends. The final touch is the lips.
Applying makeup can be difficult the first time, but there are simple ways to do it and accentuate a person's beauty in a subtle manner. It's important to remember that when applying makeup, less is more.
