Pimples under the skin can be cleared by any of a number of different at-home treatments done separately or in conjunction, including the application of tea tree oil, toothpaste, honey, milk or lemon juice.
- Prepare the skin
Apply a warm compress to the area of the skin with the underlying pimple. This promotes blood circulation and in turn helps bring the pimple to a head faster, helping it to open and releasing the infectious fluid within it.
- Apply tea tree oil
If you're using tea tree oil to treat a pimple under the skin, mix one part tea tree oil with nine parts water. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and apply it to the pimple. Leave the mixture on for 10 minutes and then remove it with lukewarm water. Apply a light moisturizer afterwards and repeat this process three times daily until the pimple is gone.
- Apply toothpaste
Apply a small amount of white toothpaste on the pimple before going to bed and leave it on the treated area overnight. When you wake up, wash the toothpaste from your face with lukewarm water.
- Apply honey
Dip a cotton ball in pure honey and apply it to the pimple under the skin. Keep the honey on for 15 to 20 minutes while the antiseptic and antimicrobial qualities of the honey work on drawing the bacteria out of your skin. After the allotted time, wash the honey off with lukewarm water.
- Apply milk
Milk contains alpha hydroxy acids that can help to unclog pores by exfoliating the outer layer of dead skin as well as removing accumulated oil and dirt. Apply milk to the pimple using a cotton ball and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then remove the milk with lukewarm water. Repeat three times daily until the head of the pimple emerges
- Apply lemon juice
The citric acid in lemon juice works as an astringent and removes bacteria and dirt from the skin. Squeeze juice from one or two lemons, dip a cotton ball in the juice and apply it to the pimple. Leave the juice on for 20 minutes and then wash it off. Repeat two or three times daily for three to four days.
