To get rid of hair bumps, exfoliate the skin and apply hydrocortisone cream. To prevent hair bumps, use a sharp blade when shaving, and shave in the direction the hair grows.
- Exfoliate the skin
Use a loofah sponge to exfoliate the skin. Natural exfoliating creams also work well to smooth away bumps and soften the skin.
- Apply hydrocortisone cream
If the hair bumps are swollen and irritated, apply hydrocortisone cream. The hydrocortisone reduces swelling, inflammation and itchiness.
- Use a sharp razor blade
Shave with a sharp blade, and use thick shaving cream. Shave in the direction the hair grows to prevent ingrown hairs and bumps.
