To get rid of forehead wrinkles, prevent them with diet and exercise, massage with oil, use a citrus mask and apply a line-plumping cream twice a day. For persistent lines, try acupuncture or Botox injections.
- Prevent wrinkles
If forehead wrinkles are barely forming or not there yet, prevent them with diet and exercise. Eat a diet full of green vegetables and colorful fruit, both of which contain antioxidants that defend against wrinkles. Exercise regularly, and drink adequate water to stay hydrated.
- Massage with oil
At least three times a week, massage your forehead with extra-virgin olive oil. Place a few drops on the pads of your fingertips, warming the oil by rubbing it between your hands. Use an upward motion to massage your forehead for 10 minutes.
- Use a citrus fruit mask
On the days you don't massage with olive oil, apply a citrus mask to your forehead. Make a thin pulp out of an orange or a lemon. Apply this to your forehead, and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
- Apply line-plumping creams
Twice a day, apply a line-plumping cream to your forehead. Look for moisturizers that contain peptides or retinols, both of which stimulate the skin's collagen. Layer it under makeup in the morning, and apply at night before bed after the massage or the citrus mask.
- Get acupuncture
For deeper lines, start getting acupuncture in addition to your skincare regimen. See an acupuncturist twice a week. After five weeks, you should notice a reduction in fine lines on the forehead.
- Get Botox
Having a neurotoxin like Botox injected into the forehead paralyzes the muscles and flattens the forehead wrinkles. Repeat treatments every three to four months.
