To get rid of deep blackheads, first clean your hands and wash your face with an anti-acne cleanser and lukewarm water. Steam your face for around 10 minutes using the steam from a pan of boiling water, and use a blackhead extractor and a magnifying glass to remove blackheads.
- Clean your hands
Scrub your hands using hand soap and warm water to remove bacteria, oils and dead skin cells that cause blackheads.
- Wash your face
Use an anti-acne cleanser and lukewarm water to gently wash your face. Lightly dab your face with a clean towel to dry off excess moisture. Do not rub the towel on your face.
- Apply steam to pores
Heat a pan of water until it comes to a boil, then turn off the heat. Drape a towel over your head to in order to direct the steam. To apply steam to pores, lean directly over the pan around 10 to 12 inches away. Remain over the steam for four to six minutes.
- Extract blackheads
Use a magnifying glass to accurately find pore openings with blackheads. Lightly press down on a blackhead using the loop of a blackhead extractor. Do not force a blackhead out. If an attempt to extract a blackhead fails, try again on a different day and move on to the next blackhead. Wash the extractor after each attempt.
- Wash your face again
Use an anti-acne cleanser and cool water to sanitize and close your pores.
