To get rid of black spots on your face, maintain a proper skin care regimen by regularly cleansing and exfoliating your skin. Look for products that contain salicylic acid, or are specifically targeted for blackheads and breaking up dirt and oil.
- Cleanse your skin
Wash your face twice a day, and do not go to bed wearing any makeup. If you forget to cleanse your face, dead skin cells and oil have the chance to build up and clog your pores. Cleansers that contain salicylic acid or that are targeted for preventing blackheads are especially effective.
- Exfoliate the dead skin cells
Exfoliation is an important step in eliminating and preventing blackheads, because it helps to remove dead skin cells that cause black spots. Use a battery-operated skin cleansing brush when you wash your face, or try a facial scrub with exfoliating beads. If you have sensitive skin, you can use a toner with salicylic acid to aid in the exfoliating process.
- Try pore strips or a mask
If regular cleansing and exfoliation do not eliminate your black spots, use pore strips to pull the dead skin cells from your pores. You can also try using a facial mask a few times a week to help clean your pores.
