To get rid of acne on the chin, clean the face multiple times per day, avoid behaviors that cause breakouts, try natural remedies and use acne products if necessary. You may begin to see results immediately.
- Wash the face at least twice per day
Use a soap-free face wash with water. It's important to keep the face clean and not very oily.
- Minimize behaviors that contribute to acne
Eating oily foods can cause breakouts. Replace these foods with healthy foods, such as vegetables and fruits. Keep the chin clean and avoid getting food or lip balm on it. Pressure on the chin can also cause acne. If you need to put pressure on your chin, due to wearing a helmet for sports or another reason, make sure to clean your chin afterwards. Don't touch your chin with your hands, as they contain oils. If you shave the chin, make sure to use a sharp razor.
- Use natural remedies
Apply an ice pack to the chin, as ice improves circulation and removes oils. Put toothpaste on pimples for 20 minutes, then wash it with cold water.
- Try an acne product
Cystic acne is common on the chin, and it can be treated with topical tretinoin. There are also many other acne products on the market.
