Pandora brand charms and bracelets are available for sale at stand-alone Pandora stores and larger retailers, such as Jarod - The Galleria of Jewelry, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Bijouterie. Pandora jewelry is available at most regional jewelry stores as well.
Pandora is an international jewelry brand that originated in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1982. The founder, Per Enevoldsen, and his wife, Winnie, often visited Thailand, and as a result, most of the company's manufacturing takes place there. The company has over 1,000 stand-alone stores around the world and sells its products through thousands of licensed retailers in over 90 countries as well. In addition to the mainland stores, many airlines sell Pandora, including Virgin Atlantic, United Air, Alitalia, Air France and Lufthansa. Cruise lines, such as Royal Caribbean and Aida Cruises, also sell it.
The company did not develop the trademark Pandora charm bracelet until the year 2000. After success in the Danish market, the company expanded production to the United States in 2003, and to Germany and Austria in 2004. The idea of a fully customizable bracelet at this high quality was a novelty that many brands have copied. As of 2013, the United States was the largest consumer of Pandora products.
