To remove super glue from your skin, soak the area in warm, soapy water, and apply nail polish remover to the super glue. Wash off the nail polish remover and super glue with warm, soapy water, and moisturize the skin.
- Soak the skin in warm soapy water
Place the affected area of the skin in warm soapy water, and let it soak long enough to soften the skin and weaken the bond of the super glue. Using your fingernail, a credit card or another thin object, gently scrape the super glue off your skin.
- Apply nail polish remover to the super glue
If super glue remains on your skin, apply a small amount of nail polish remover that contains acetone. Acetone is a toxic chemical, so use the smallest amount possible to remove the super glue. Never use acetone on your eyelids or lips.
- Wash off the nail polish remover and super glue
Use hand soap to wash off the nail polish remover and super glue remnants. Gently scrape away small sections of superglue with your fingernail until all of the glue has been removed. Apply a moisturizer to the skin after washing, because the nail polish remover dries out the skin and causes irritation.
