An easy way to remove hair buildup is to rinse it with apple cider vinegar. The supplies you need for this 10-minute treatment are a hairbrush, a funnel, measuring spoons, a bottle of organic apple cider vinegar, a clean spray bottle, light conditioner and a towel.
- Mix the vinegar rinse
Remove the cap from a plastic spray bottle, and rinse the bottle with water. Insert the funnel, and add 6 tablespoons of warm water. Shake the bottle of apple cider vinegar, open it, and pour 2 tablespoons of it down the funnel and into the plastic spray bottle. Screw on the spray cap, and shake the solution.
- Brush your hair
Remove your hair accessories, and brush your hair thoroughly.
- Apply the vinegar spray
Mist your hair and scalp with the vinegar spray. Massage the solution into your scalp, and rub your fingers through your hair to help loosen dirt and product residue. Keep the vinegar on your hair for at least five minutes.
- Rinse and condition your hair
Rinse your hair with warm water, and apply a light conditioner from the roots to the tips. Leave the conditioner on your hair for three minutes, and then rinse with cool water. Dry and style your hair as usual.
