Fossil watches can be registered on the company's website at Fossil.com. In order to register a watch, customers must provide the watch model number, the date of purchase, the location where the watch was purchased and a valid email address.
Customers can use the online registration for watches purchased at any Fossil store or at any of the company's partner stores, watches that were given as a gift, or those that were purchased online. If the customer is logged in when making a purchase online, the product is automatically registered.
Fossil watches must be registered in order to qualify for the warranty. Fossil's leather products and sunglasses are also covered by a one-year limited warranty, but they do not need to be registered, as the customer must provide the original sales receipt in order to obtain warranty repairs.
The warranty on Fossil watches only covers the hands, dial and watch movement, which are guaranteed to be free from any defects in materials or workmanship that appear under normal use. The warranty is considered void if the watch is damaged due to negligence, accident, unauthorized service or any other problems that do not result from a defect in workmanship or materials.
