To put hair in curlers, apply styling product to freshly washed and towel-dried hair, and then divide the hair into sections. Roll the top section backwards and the rest of the sections downward. Allow the hair to dry, set the style, and then remove the curlers.
- Apply styling product
After washing and conditioning the hair, use an absorbent towel to blot the hair dry. Put a small amount of hair mousse into your palm, and emulsify it. Distribute it through your hair from the roots to the ends.
- Section the hair
Divide out a section of hair from the corners of the forehead to the back of the crown. Create two side sections by dividing the hair from the top of the ear to the top segment.
- Roll the top
Use the comb to divide out a section of hair narrower than the curler. Comb the hair forward, and place the curler at the ends. Roll the hair onto the curler, and clip to secure it to the head. Repeat for all of the sections of hair at the top, making sure the curlers are all rolled backward.
- Roll the sides
Divide out a section of hair perpendicular to the curlers above. Comb the hair straight out, and roll it onto the curler, securing it in place. Roll all the hair downward toward the shoulder.
- Roll the back
Divide the back of the head into two sections. Working from the top down, roll the curlers under to the surface of the head, and secure.
- Set the style
Allow the hair to dry. Before removing the curlers, heat the hair with a blow dryer. Allow the hair to cool again, and then remove the curlers. Style as desired.
