Coogi is a clothing brand that sells colorful knitwear for both women and men. Its products include sweaters, cardigans, t-shirts, outerwear and sweatshirts as well as accessories such as handbags and hats.
Coogi was founded in 1969 in Toorak, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, by Jacky Taranto. The brand was first named Cuggi, before being renamed in 1987. Originally selling mainly sweaters, the brand was purchased by a New York City company, Coogi Partners LLC, in 2002 and expanded its line to sell all apparel, including women's and children's. The brand was relaunched again in 2014 with a focus on men's sweaters.
