Coogi is a clothing line founded by Jack Taranto and still owned by him as of 2014. The company was established in Toorak, Melbourne, Australia in 1969, and, as of 2014, its headquarters is in New York City.
The fashion line is known for one of its most popular sweaters, commonly nicknamed the "Cosby Sweater" for its colorful appearance and similarity to the sweaters that Bill Cosby wore on "The Cosby Show." Coogi sells t-shirts, jeans, sweaters and a variety of different accessories. In 2014, Coogi decided to relaunch its brand by choosing to focus on the sale and promotion of their famous sweaters.
