Use an emery board or nail file to file your nails in a square shape. Start by filing the end of your nail straight across to the create the top line of the square. As you transition to the sides of your nails, do not round the edges. Use the file to remove a harsh edge, but leave a corner on the left and right.
- File the end of the nail
File the end of your nail flat to create a straight edge.
- Remove harsh corners
Do not round your edges. Gently file only enough to remove pointed corners.
- Repeat on each fingernail
Carefully shape each of your fingernails to match. For more exaggerated squares, file the ends flatter.
