How Many Miss World Titlists Are From India?

According to the Miss World Organisation, there have been five Miss World title holders from India. The most recent of these was Priyanka Chopra, who won the title in 2000.

In 1966, Reita Faria became the first Miss World from India. Following that, India did not see another title until 1994, when Aishwarya Rai took the crown. The country went on to win the title four times in the next seven years.

The winner in 1997 was Diana Hayden, who, at age 24, was the oldest winner of the five. She was followed two years later in 1999 by Yukta Mookhey.
