The Invicta Watch Group manufactures Invicta watches. Raphael Picard founded the Invicta Watch Company in Switzerland 1837. The Picard family sold the company in 1991 to the Invicta Watch Group, based in the United States.
The Invicta Watch Company originally crafted mechanical and automatic timepieces but changed to quartz movement in the 1970s. In 2000, the company changed the design to that of an oversized timepiece that is used as a dive watch. In 2010, Invicta had annual sales of over $50 million and began to outsource the manufacturing of its watches to third parties in both Switzerland and the Far East.
