To make smokey eyes, apply concealer to the eyelid. Trace black eyeliner along the upper and lower lashes. Apply a light shade of eye shadow to the inner corner of your upper eyelid, a medium color to the center and the darkest color to the outer corner, then blend well.
- Prepare your eyelids with concealer
Concealer and pressed powder help even out eyelid creases and keep makeup in place. Once the concealer and powder are set, use a black eyeliner pencil to trace along the upper and lower lashes.
- Apply the eye shadow
Start by applying a light shade of eye shadow to the inner corner of the upper eyelid, then use a medium color on the center of the eyelid. Apply the darkest color of eye shadow to the outer corner of the lid, and blend the makeup upward toward the crease. With an eye shadow applicator or a cotton swab, trace the darkest eye shadow along the lower lash line.
- Blend well
Using an eye shadow applicator, your fingertip or a cotton swab, blend the eye shadow on the upper lid and lower lash line to create a faded, smokey effect. Blend the dark shadow into the upper eyelid crease, and apply the lightest eye shadow to the brow bone to enhance the smokey eye effect.
