Homemade facial cream to reduce wrinkles around the eyes can be created using a combination of moisturizing ingredients. Vitamin E, coconut oil, beeswax and sweet almond oil are commonly used in homemade wrinkle creams, according to Organic Authority.
Typically, a base of beeswax and coconut oil is mixed with a liquid oil, such as sweet almond oil, to create homemade face creams. Organic Authority recommends mixing 1/4 cup of almond oil, 2 tablespoons of beeswax, 1/2 teaspoon of vitamin E, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of shea butter together in a jar. Place the jar in a double boiler over low heat until the oils are melted, then remove the oils and allow to cool.
According to Health and Natural Living, rose hip oil may be added to homemade face creams to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Rose hip oil can replace part of the sweet almond oil in the mixture to improve the wrinkle fighting properties of the face cream.
Rosewater or essential oils can be added to improve the scent of the face cream. Add 5 to 10 drops of the preferred essential oil to the mixture after it has cooled slightly. Essential oils are typically added after the oils have been removed from the double boiler to preserve the scent and quality of the oil. ABC News recommends avoiding citrus essential oils, such as orange, lemon or lime, because citrus oils increase the risk of sunburn.
