Bring 4 ounces of water to a boil and remove it from the heat. Place a tea bag into the cup and allow it to steep until it is strongly brewed, at least 15 minutes.
Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a small bowl. Mix the lemon juice and ¼ cup of the henna powder together. Begin adding the tea a little at a time, stirring the paste between each addition. Use between 2 and 3 tablespoons of tea until you reach the desired texture. The texture of the final paste should be slightly more runny than toothpaste.
Put the paste into the squeeze bottle and let it sit for at least an hour. This allows the colors in the mixture to steep together for the best quality tattoos.
