To make your own homemade body lotion, you can use 1/2 cup of almond or olive oil, 1/4 cup of coconut oil and 1/4 cup of beeswax. Combine all of the ingredients in a mason jar or similar jar. Make sure the jar is 1 pint or larger.
Take a medium saucepan, and fill it up to 2 to 3 inches of water. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
Fit the jar with a lid, and place it in the heating water. As the ingredients in the jar start to meld together, occasionally shake the jar to allow them to mix evenly.
After all of the ingredients are thoroughly melted together, choose a jar or similar container and slowly pour in the mixture. A container with a pump handle is not recommended, as this mixture may be too thick to pump effectively. Seal the container with a lid.
This lotion mix lasts about six months, after which its moisturizing capability can diminish. Use the lotion in the same manner as any typical body lotion.
