To make a green tea face mask, mix green tea powder with water, apply it to your face, let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and wash it off. The mask takes one to two minutes to make.
- Mix the ingredients
Green tea powder is found at natural food stores or online. Mix 1 teaspoon of green tea powder with enough water to create a thick mask. Coconut water can also be used. Optional ingredients include drops of essential oils, cacao powder, turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon of honey for deeper cleansing and 1/2 teaspoon of French green clay powder for oily skin.
- Apply the mask
Use a brush to paint the mask on your face. You can also paint it on your neck and chest.
- Let the mask sit
The mask dries in about five minutes. Keep it on your skin for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Wash the mask off
Use a warm towel and water to remove the mask, but avoid rubbing your face with the towel. If green residue remains on your face, use a facial cleanser to wash it off. Apply moisturizer. The mask should make the skin feel smoother and exfoliated. It can also reduce redness, acne, signs of aging and damage from the sun.
