To make conditioner at home, mix distilled water with aloe vera and lime juice, and add coconut and vitamin E oils. Customize the conditioner with essential oils, and thicken it with coconut oil.
- Mix the liquids
Pour 1 cup of distilled water into a spray bottle. Add 1/2 cup of aloe vera juice and 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Mix well.
- Add the oils
Measure out 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and add to the spray bottle. Break open five vitamin E capsules, pouring the contents of each into the bottle. Shake the bottle vigorously.
- Customize the conditioner with essential oils
The main properties of the conditioner come from the addition of essential oils. Drip 20 drops each of essential oils into the bottle according to hair type: thyme and tea tree for dandruff, cedarwood and clary sage to promote hair growth, geranium for damaged hair, almond and argan for heavy moisturizing and chamomile for shine.
- Thicken the conditioner
Pour half of a can of coconut milk into the spray bottle. Shake the bottle until the mixture is well-blended.
- Use the conditioner
After shampooing, spray the conditioner into the hair. Comb through, and leave the conditioner in. Alternatively, pour a generous amount of the conditioner into your hair. Leave in for a few minutes, and rinse with cool water. Store excess conditioner in the refrigerator.
