Eyelash extensions last an average of six to eight weeks, depending on how they are cared for. They begin falling out naturally as the eyelashes grow. To avoid losing the look completely, wearers should get a light touch-up of the extensions every three to four weeks.
There are several ways to help the eyelash extensions last as long as possible. While they do not last longer than the eyelash growth cycle, there are ways to keep them for up to eight weeks. For example, a wearer sleeping on her back for the first couple of nights after getting extensions helps tremendously. Wearers should be very gentle when applying and removing eye makeup, making sure to never pull or rub hard on the lashes. Oiling the lashes also helps, which is done with baby oil. Wearers should avoid touching or playing with the eyelash extensions too much.
