To keep hair straight, start by shampooing and moisturizing the hair. Apply product, divide the hair, blow it straight, and iron it flat. Apply silicone serum to keep the hair straight all day.
- Wash your hair
Wash your hair, and apply a moisturizing conditioner. Let the conditioner sit for 5 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
- Apply product
Squeeze excess moisture from the hair with a towel, and comb out all the tangles. Apply a volumizer to the roots. Rub a silicone-based serum between your hands, and work the serum into the hair, starting at the ends.
- Divide the hair
Divide the hair into two or three equal sections, depending on its thickness. Clip the top sections out of the way.
- Blow the hair straight
Spray a thermal protector onto the hanging hair. While drying the hair, use a paddle brush to pull it straight. Point the nozzle of the dryer downward to keep the strands smooth. Repeat this process for all the sections of hair.
- Iron the hair flat
Once the hair is completely dry, divide it into the original sections. Using a flat iron, smooth each section of hair. Repeat this process until all the hair is ironed.
- Apply more silicone
Rub more silicone serum into your hands, and work it into the strands from ends to roots. Finish with a light-hold hair spray.
